Ingredients

Bread

  • 2 lb refrigerated pizza dough
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Spinach dip

  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. 1.

Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment.

  2. 2.

Divide dough into 28 pieces and roll each into a ball. Arrange in a tree shape: start with one ball at the top, then rows of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, leaving balls touching. Shape a small star from leftover dough for the top.

  3. 3.

Stir together butter and garlic and brush over the dough. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake until golden, 18–22 minutes.

  4. 4.

Meanwhile, mix all dip ingredients, spread in a small oven-safe dish, and bake alongside the bread until hot and bubbly, 20 minutes.

  5. 5.

Slide the bread onto a board, set the dip at the base as the 'trunk,' and sprinkle with parsley.

Make It Special!

  • Brush with pesto instead of garlic butter for a greener tree.
  • Decorate with halved cherry tomatoes as 'ornaments' before serving.
  • Make ahead: prepare the dip up to 2 days early and bake when needed.
